Boil the water with the split peas, chops and bay leaf
Meanwhile, peel the celeriac and cut into cubes of about 1 cm.
Wash the leek well and cut it into rings.
Peel the onion and chop fine. Also coarselyly chop the celery.
Remove the chops from the pan and cut them into small cubes and add to the soup together with the chopped vegetables and potato.
Let the soup simmer for about 20 minutes until all the vegetables have shrunk and the potato is tender.
Cut the smoked sausage into slices and stir them through during the last few minutes. Flavor the pea soup with some extra pepper and soy sauce.
