How to Stirfry
Stirfrying is an easy and healthy way of preparing food. Stir frying is a term used to describe a fast Chinese cooking technique. Stirfrying is easy and is even easier to learn.
At first make sure you prepare all the ingredients in advance. Cut the vegetables and the meat in small pieces and season the meat if required. Make sure you have prepared all the ingredients before you start stirfrying as there is ample time while cooking.
After preparing the ingredients, pre-heat the wok on high heat for a minute before adding the oil. By doing so, you make sure the oil does not overheat. Use a few tablespoons of oil and make sure you poor it from the sides and in the middle so you cover the whole wok. When the oil is heated, season it with a little bit of garlic and ginger for a true oriental taste. Reduce the heat a little bit so it won’t burn the garlic, before adding the meat.
Now slide the meat carefully into the wok and spread it evenly over the wok. Use only a cup full of meat at the same time, otherwise the wok will cool to much and it will loose the frying principle. Once the meat is fried, set it aside on a plate or dish. Now stirfry the vegetables by using a little bit of oil. Once done, ad the meat and the desired sauce and heat again. By putting aside the meat you make sure the meat is not overcooked and doesn’t loose it’s essential flavours.
When stir-frying meat, wait a few seconds before tossing so that it has a chance to brown; when stir-frying vegetables, begin moving them immediately.
Enjoy,
