Go-Tan B.V.'s production facility is located in Kesteren. This production facility employs around 70 people on various production lines.
Rempejek
This is a specially developed production line where our employees' craftsmanship definitely comes to the fore. A spiced dough is poured into round forms, after which the crackers are fried in vegetable oil. This creates a crispy, spiced peanut cracker which can not only be eaten with the meal, as Asians do, but is also highly suitable as a snack.
Prawn Crackers an other snack varieties
The "cracker" dough is prepared, steamed, dried and cut in Indonesia. These “pellets” undergo their final baking at Go-Tan. The baking process only takes a few seconds. The raw pellets expand in no time and the baked crackers appear at the end of the oven. An advanced weighing system ensures that the correct quantity of crackers is packaged in bags. Go-Tan is able to produce various types of cracker (variety) on these production lines, and can also handle various types of packaging.
Indonesian Prawn Crackers (long slices) and Portion-sized Prawn Crackers
The strips of dried cracker are fed into the oven. This is set up in such a way that an attractive, traditional product is produced at the end of the baking process; a product that looks like you made it in your own kitchen. After the oven, the product is deposited on a cooling belt where our employees check to ensure that the product complies with the stipulated visual requirements. The strips are then packed in foil in batches of 3 or 4.
The kitchen
All the sauces and boemboes are produced in the kitchen. The ingredients from the preparation department are mixed in large cooking vessels and brought to the correct temperature. After cooking, the product is decanted into jars, bottles or sachets. Our boemboes (spice mixes) in sachets are then packaged in the familiar triangular packs by a fully automated machine.
Quality
The raw materials, semi-manufactured products and finished products are closely checked. Initially this is done by our quality control department when the goods arrive. Our staff on the production line and our quality control department also check the quality of our products constantly during the production process. Activities within Go-Tan comply with the HACCP standard. Training ensures that our employees' quality awareness is maintained at a high level. Thus the consumer can always rely on a good and safe product.
