Also available in a large bottle for the true satay or BBQ fan. This marinade is specifically used to marinade meat for Indonesian satay. It gives it the distinctive somewhat salty and rich flavour. Different from the Chinese version, Indonesian satay is eaten with a generous serving of satay sauce, a thick and creamy peanut sauce, poured over the satay skewers. As a guideline, use app. 50ml of satay marinade for 500g of diced meat - chicken for satay ajam, pork for satay babi or beef for satay manis – leave for a minimum of one hour, allowing the flavours of the satay marinade to infuse the meat. Then, thread on skewers (soak the skewer in hot water for about 10 minutes, to prevent from splitting) and grill.
