The Go-Tan Company has been run by the Go family since the Fifties and is based in The Netherlands. Indonesia was a Dutch colony in the old days and many Indonesians settled in The Netherlands after the Second World War. They brought their own food culture, one that has had a big influence on Dutch eating habits.
The world of the Go family
It all started with homemade sambals (chilli pastes) and ketjaps (Indonesian soy sauces) created in my parents’ kitchen. These days are long gone. Now, the Go-Tan product range covers the whole of Indonesian cuisine from snacks to sauces and from herb pastes to side dishes. In our Indonesian culture we enjoy sharing good food with family and friends, it probably is the most valued moment of our day. That is why we care about good quality, authentic recipes and we have a true passion for our products.
